About American Gold Cup
source: https://theamericangoldcup.com/about/
The American Gold Cup brings together in an electric environment the elite equestrian athletes, discerning horse owners, excited fans and young hopefuls waiting to catch a glimpse of their idols. Set amongst a fanfare of family-friendly activities, competitions, shopping, entertainment and celebrity sightings, the American Gold Cup is a signature annual event.
Held over five days, the American Gold Cup showcases world-class equestrian competitions and the sheer power, speed and excitement that attracts the best competitors in the world. The world governing the body of equestrian sport, the FEI, has designated the American Gold Cup as a CSI 4*-W competition a Longines FEI Jumping World Cup North American League qualifier. There are currently only a handful of competitions in the United States that have the privilege and the honor of having this designation.
The coveted $210,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup New York for the American Gold Cup on Sunday, September 15, is the primary goal. Carrying the prestigious designation of a World Cup Qualifier makes this event most important to the sport and to those athletes in pursuit of making it to the World Cup Finals.
For national riders, the competition offers young jumper competitions as well as amateur and junior jumper competitions at a variety of skill levels.
The event will be broadcast on NBC Sports.
