Spotlight on FFBS Ambassador: Caitlyn Connors

Spotlight on FFBS Ambassador: Caitlyn Connors

Hello Fab Friends!

Today we are introducing you to one of our fabulous FFBS Ambassadors, Caitlyn Connors. At 17, Caitlyn is an accomplished athlete. She competes at the High Junior and U25 Grand Prix level of Show Jumping. Caitlyn was recently featured in Teen Vogue, in an article that detailed her participation in the Hermes title sponsored U25 Grand Prix series at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington Florida.

Talking with Caitlyn, it felt like I was talking with someone much older, which was funny because she told me that she feels like an old lady! Clearly an old soul. She is a shining star on the roster of competitive junior riders. She has busy competition schedule planned for the 2018 summer season.

Caitlyn is from Glen Mills Pennsylvania but travels all over to compete. She will be at Old Salem coming up next week (begins May 6th). From there, her summer plans include the Devon Horse Show, CSIO5* Nations Cup Langely on the Jr team in Canada, Upperville, NAJYR (young riders) with her younger of 2 horses, and the Hamptons. From there, Caitlyn is planning to compete in the $250K Jr/AO Prix during the HITS $1 Million week in September. At the end of what looks to be an amazing Summer for Caitlyn, she will have her eye set on going to the Youth Olympics in Argentina in October before rounding out the season at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show, The Washington International Horse Show, and the Kentucky CP National Horse shows in October.

Caitlyn is riding under the tutelage of Roberto Teran. She has two horses - Express Blue GP Du Bois Madame "Blue" and Boleybawn Perfection "Boley". Blue is an 8-year-old Belgian Warmblood that Caitlyn shows in the High Junior Jumpers. Boley is a 13-year-old Irish Sport Horse. Caitlyn began riding Boley at the beginning of 2017 as a sale horse and he actually just officially became hers! She shows him in the U25 Grand Prixs and High Junior Jumpers.

In addition to being an accomplished equestrian, Caitlyn has great style. When it comes to fashion, Caitlyn is all about Fab Finds! After meeting Sarah and shopping with her, the obsession began. Caitlyn says that she loves the fact that the clothes are chic and classy - she can wear them dressed up, casually, and even in the tack. If Caitlyn and Sarah are at the same show, you will most definitely be able to meet her as she tells me she is there ALL THE TIME!!!, which we love! Caitlyn has a great love of fashion and even considered it as a college major at one time.

She loves that she can call Sarah and she will dress her for whatever occasion she needs. She is frequently asked about where she gets her clothes and proud to say that the answer is almost always Fab Finds by Sarah. And the shoes, she tells me excitedly, she is obsessed with the shoes. We couldn't be happier to have Caitlyn representing FFBS as an ambassador and we wish her the very best of luck in her upcoming competitions.

xo,

FFBS
